I also thought that the book was great - and ended up going to the "free" seminar, then signed up for the 3-day seminar, for something like $400-500. It. was. ridiculous. They basically encourage people to max out their credit cards until they get a positive cash flow. I took a friend, who is a real estate investor, (with 30+ properties, generating PLENTY of positive cash flow for well over 30 years) just so I could make sure that I was learning something, and retaining it all. She promptly told me to forget almost everything I heard and ask for my money back, which I did. They balked for a while, but then they refunded it. DO NOT go to a Rich Dad, Poor Dad seminar. PS - what are the people teaching doing there? Don't they have better things to do? I don't buy the idea that they are there to pay it forward. None of the 3 people would answer any specific questions about their properties, probably because THEY HAVE NONE.
