You have probably heard of this song already, as it has taken the internet world BY STORM and has gone viral exponentially. Yes, it’s none other than Rebecca Black, the 13 year old who made a You Tube video with a voice and lyrics so bad, that people shared it with their loved ones for a laugh. It’s Rebecca Black who’s laughing now!
She is number 19 on the iTunes most downloaded songs.
She has made $20,000 on You Tube earnings alone (it’s been viewed 45,000,000 times), and is set to gain another $1,000,000 after iTunes gives her the royalties she is due.
In case you’ve missed it, here’s the video. Enjoy, my friends! It’s FRIDAY!!! Partyin’ Partyin’ YEAH!

I confess I watched the video too – amazing how something so bad can be so popular eh?
Thanks for including my post about the cheap LG Optimus One Android smartphone.
@SavingMentor- I think a lot of people have watched it already, just out of curiosity, mainly.
I guess auto-tune can’t fix everything. heh heh
Thanks for the mention!
@retirebyforty- I dunno, that autotune didn’t seem to work very well, according to my ears
Thanks for the mention Y&T…and now my ears are bleeding
Have a great weekend!
@Echo- hahaha you’re welcome! Sorry your ears are bleeding!
Thanks for the shout out!
Also, as terrible as Rebecca Black is, you have to admire her for putting herself. And despite all the crazy negative press she’s getting, she’s making some crazy money. Pretty good for a 13 year old!
@krystalatwork- I’d say pretty good for a 13 year old! I think I was selling beaded necklaces to my sister at that age, and not doing anything substantial to make money lol.
Lyrics like “partying partying Yeah fun fun fun” can make $1 million! I sing songs like that in the shower all the time, but wouldn’t have the courage to do it in public
She’s a smart girl though… she’ll retire before she even enters the workforce.
@Jen @SheBloggs- Lol, hey it’s never too late to start! She is a smart girl- My boyfriend was so fascinated by her success story he looked it up on Wikipedia. She’s already born wealthy though- her mother gave her a gift of starring a music video and paying $2000 to create one.
Is it worth all that money to be immortalized forever on YouTube?
Not for me, thanks!
@Two Degrees- Make that immortalized in a negative light over You Tube! And that $1million she’ll probably have to cut it with her producers and the people who wrote that song (apparently she didn’t write the song, which is surprising because those lyrics seem to have the intelligence of a 13 year old)
