If you’re carrying a credit card debt (or expect to in the near future), consider a card with a low-interest rate. With the current fluctuations trending down, your best bet right now may be a card with flexible rates. Enter the TD Emerald Flex Rate Visa* Card, a card that offers a variable interest rate that’s tied to the TD Prime Rate and varies depending on your credit assessment.

What does that mean for cardholders? Given that TD’s Prime Rate is currently 2.450% (as of March 30, 2020), customers with a good credit score could qualify for a purchase interest rate as low as 6.95% (TD Prime + 4.50%). Final Call: Which TD Credit Card Is Best?

There are some solid options when it comes to TD credit cards in Canada, but ultimately, the best card depends on what you want to get out of it. To decide, consider your eligibility in terms of minimum annual income, your needs and spending habits, and how much you want to pay in annual fees. If you’re a higher income earner ($60k and up), you’re eligible to apply for TD’s premium credit cards. These cards charge an annual fee but come with premium perks ranging from travel rewards, points that can be cashed in for groceries and gas, cash back on your credit card statements, and insurance benefits. In essence, premium cards pay for themselves and are worth the modest annual fee.

I agree the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card is the best card for travel. Throughout the year they will have great promos for new members for the card. Also, if you really want bang for your buck on travel combine it with the RBC Westjet Mastercard as then you have one for flights and one for travel and it ends up being a great combo. Thanks for the great write up!
